Vehicle wraps and fleet graphics: what to ask before you order
A van that is out every day is a sign that moves. Whether you letter one truck or brand a fleet, the questions are the same: what goes on, what film, who installs it, and how it comes off later.
Lettering, partial or full wrap
- Cut-vinyl lettering. Your name, logo, phone and website, cut from coloured vinyl. Usually the lowest cost and quick to change.
- Partial wrap. Printed film over part of the vehicle, with the paint colour doing the rest.
- Full wrap. Printed film over most of the painted surface. The most visible, and the most work to design and install.
What to ask before you order
- Which film and laminate, and how long it is expected to last outdoors. Florida sun is hard on vinyl, so ask what the maker rates it for.
- Is design included, and how many rounds of changes?
- Who installs it, where, and how long the vehicle is off the road.
- What the warranty covers: film, print, install, or all three.
- How removal works, and what it costs, for a leased vehicle or one you will resell.
- For a fleet: can they match colours across vehicles ordered months apart?
Ask about the condition of your paint too: film sticks best to sound factory paint, and repaired or peeling areas can behave differently.

How to choose a sign company in Tampa Bay
This is general information, not legal, insurance or contracting advice. Every job is different: confirm details with the sign company, your landlord, your insurer and the city or county permit office.
