Before you order, ask.
Four questions that tell you a lot about a sign company. A good one will answer them plainly.
- Which licence covers this job?For a lit or structural sign, ask for the sign contractor licence number and look it up on myfloridalicense.com or with your county.
- Can you send a certificate of insurance?Ask for the certificate, and read what it covers and for which dates. Landlords often want one before an install.
- Who builds it, and who files the permit?Ask whether the sign is fabricated in their own shop or by another company, and who applies for the sign permit and landlord approval.
- What exactly is in the quote?Get the sign size, materials, lighting, design, permit, install, removal of any old sign, warranty and timeline in writing.
